About us
Our mission is to connect Sweden with Poland by supporting our members` Swedish-Polish business relations
Swedish-Polish Chamber of Commerce
Our Strength lies with our members
Our rapidly growing community has one common denominator – everyone is committed to strengthening the Swedish-Polish business relations.
Our task is to embrace this committment which has brought us all together and to support the members by facilitating their business activities which they conduct in Sweden and Poland and cross-border between the coutries. Our strength lies in our members` successes and our job is to contribute to these successes by providing contacts and knowledge and by always being ready to assist with advice. We only succeed when our members succeed. We are grateful for our members` trust and we promise to always seek to live up to our members` expectations as well as to our values.

How the Chamber was formed
On May 30, 1929, the Swedish-Polish Chamber of Commerce held its first General Meeting of Members with the participation of 32 members. Preparations had taken about a year. The incentive was a Polish desire to expand trade relations with Sweden. The head of the Polish State Export Institute in Warsaw had been invited to speak about “Trade relations between Sweden and Poland” at a gathering of the Swedish-Polish Association in Stockholm on May 4, 1928 held at the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. In his talk, he had proposed “the establishment of an institution with the aim of expanding and intensifying trade between the two countries”. A committee was appointed with the task of investigating the possibility of establishing a chamber of commerce. About a year later, the first General Meeting of Members of the Chamber took place. The photo to the right was taken at Poznań International Fair. As early as 1929, the Chamber began to cooperate with the Fair in Poznań, and in 1936 we organized the Swedish pavilion for the first time, which we then continued for many decades.
The Chamber of today
Our operations have naturally changed greatly over time. Please see and hear how in this short film from the seminar ”Energy Solutions of the Future” at Bonnierhuset in Stockholmden on 17 March 2023. You must be logged in to LinkedIn and can then watch the film here. One of the biggest differences is that today we have significantly more Polish members than in 1929 and in subsequent decades.
